The Epic curve has been taken from one of our most popular signature models. With the input of the HB Core Team, we’ve dialled in the dimensions for prone riding in medium to heavy surf, with the developing rider in mind.
 
FEATURES
CORE: KINETIC CORE – 1.9lb
Constructed from premium grade 1.9lb density Arpro Polypropylene resins, Kinetic Core delivers amazing projection and response as a result of high pressure cell- fusion created during the blank manufacturing process. Kinetic Core is a warm water core available in various reinforcement configurations, each tuned-in for specific wave conditions.
STRINGER: CFT STRINGER
High-grade, lightweight filament wound composite-fibre tube for increased board strength and spring-like recoil.
SLICK: SURLYN SLICK SKIN
Finest grade, authentic Dupont SurlynTM slick bottom skin. Surlyn exhibits rubber like properties for superior projection.
DECK: Wave Cushion Air PE Deck with Original Triple split colour design.
8lb. non-crosslink Polyethylene outer skins. The premier skin for high performance bodyboarding
RAILS: IXLPE Inner Rail/ Cork Outer Rail, Double 50/50 rails
TAIL: CRESCENT TAILClassic 45o angle on a 385o radius cut. Loose and responsive, Crescent Tails are the preferred tail shape of the HB CoreTeam. CNC cut for maximum precision.
CHANNELS: Graduated hull contours increase the surface area of the boards slick bottom and channels that laminar flow along the rail/ hull for positive edge control.

TECHNOLOGY: Tension Tech is a top mesh sub sandwich layer. It consists of a sheet of mesh sandwiched in between the two layers of 1.5mm IXLPP (crosslink polypropylene). This allows us to produce a much thinner core without sacrificing strength, resulting in an incredibly strong board with excellent recoil. Combined with Polypro, this makes an extremely stiff board, perfect for tropical locations. We have been using this technology mainly with PE and NRG boards, allowing us to get the best properties from both the PP substrate, and the softer NRG or PE core.
