BURTON NAME DROPPER 2020
The 2020 Burton Name Dropper is a park slaying powerhouse that'll have people dropping your name. The Name Dropper features a soft flex combined with PurePop camber, which results in a poppy and stable ride for getting up onto rails and sticking landings, while staying soft enough for huge presses and easy lock-ons. Combine this with the Burton Off-Axis technology thats designed for park riding, all tricks both new and old will be much easier, smoother, and more fun. Take it to the mini park for some playful jumps or take it to the XL park for some burly technical rail lines, either way the Name Dropper will flex soft when you want it and stay stable when you need it.
Skill Level: Intermediate
Board Type: Park
Camber Type: PurePop
An evolution of traditional camber, PurePop places subtle flat zones outside your feet to amplify pop and add a more playful feeling to the camber. Early rise tip and tail get your contact points out of the snow quicker, reducing catch and enhancing float.
Flex: 2.5/10 (1 = soft, 10 = stiff)
Twin Flex - This board flexes the same in the nose and tail, allowing you to ride, pop, and press the same in regular and switch.
Constructed exactly the same tip to tail, this board is designed to provide consistent performance when riding in both switch and regular.
FSC Certified Super Fly 800G - This core utilises two species of wood in dual-density vertical laminations of alternating softwood and hardwood to reduce weight without compromising strength or performance.
Dualzone EGD - The wood grain of the core is positioned along the heel and toe edge in two unbroken zones perpendicular to the rest of the core, which gives consistent edge hold and strength.
Triax Glass - This triaxial fibreglass creates a versatile flex and consistent response for performance across all types of snowboarding.
Off-Axis Squeezebox Low - Squeezebox consists of thicker, more powerful sections combined with thinner, more flexible sections profiled throughout the core. This enhances energy transfer and makes the board snappier and more stable. Off Axis Squeezebox places the core zones at 15° angles, which better matches the traditional stance of park riders. The Low version of Squeezebox is designed to promote progression, placing stiffer zones outside your feet that direct energy to the nose and tail while enabling a softer, smoother flex between the bindings, resulting in more control with less effort.
This base made from a durable and highly porous base material that provides added strength and wax absorption for long lasting glide.
Infinite Ride - Burton is able to maximise pop and performance by overbuilding their boards in the factory, and then using machinery to break it down for you. This allows your board to ride the same from day one, to day 100, season after season.
Off-Axis Frostbite Edges - Edges that extend out slightly underneath your bindings for enhanced edge hold on hardpack and ice.
Off-Axis Filet-O-Flex - Filet-O-Flex uses ultra thin profiling to create soft boards that retail stability, durability, and grip. Where standard boards have a standard core thickness, Filet-O-Flex boards have an ultra thin core which is supplemented with an EVA pad on top, creating soft flex and adding subtle suspension and underfoot padding.
Pro Tip - The tip and tail of this board taper out at the points, reducing swing weight and promoting mobility.
Super Sap Epoxy - Super Sap is a bio-based resin that reduces the carbon footprint by 50% over conventional petroleum-based epoxies.
